This past year, a call went out to Sandy Hill community members to participate in a poetry project. The request was simple: they were asked to write a poem, and record a reading of it, as a way to reflect on their pandemic experience.
The response was fantastic.
Below you can hear their stories: from young and old, in English and French, with most speaking and a few singing! For all, it was a chance to express, in their own way, the highs and lows of the ongoing pandemic.
To listen to each recording (most are under 90 seconds) hover your mouse over a photo below, and press play.
Most of the photos were shared by the poets themselves.
Grab a tea or coffee, and enjoy!
